First entry 10/2020: This Fiat 124 CS1 Spider - Chassis No: 124CS1-0141606 was supplied new by Fiat dealer Brea Sports Cars Incorporated of Brea, Orange County, California, USA and delivered to ist first lady owner a Miss Jill Elkim of Tarzana, Los Angeles, California and registered on 6th October 1978. It is finished in ist original colour scheme of Fiat Light Metallic Blue with Beige vinyl seats and trim, Blue Carpets, Beige Soft Top, 1756cc Twin Cam engine, 5 Speed Manual Gearbox, original Fiat Steering Wheel, period AM/FM Radio and Steel wheels with Chrome hub caps. The car was remained in her ownership until early 1990 when it was sold and imported to the UK and registered here as BLE 482S on 17th August 1990 and the total mileage covered at that time was 84,397 Miles. It was subsequently sold by Fiat 124 specialist DTR Sportscars to ist first owner in Barnes, London, SW13 on 28th August 1990 and he kept the car for 8 years before it was sold to the current owner in 1998 who has now owned the car for 22 years! The car was regularly serviced by DTR until 2008 and there are lots of invoices in the file for various works but it was hardly used from 2009 through to 2014 and was then put in storage until last year. Between 2008 and 2019 it has only covered just over 2,000 miles and it has now covered a believed genuine 120,399 miles from new. There are some paint blemishes on the bodywork, but nothing drastic and overall it really is very nice. The underside is totally rust free being an ex-Californian car and the interior trim is actually pretty good and commensurate with its age. Originally from California, the car came to the UK in 1990 where it was prepared by specialist DTR Sports Cars and sold to its new owner. The car has pretty much been looked after by them ever since with the three previous uk owners getting it serviced by them. The car is all original bodywork wise but has had the following mechanical parts replaced recently : new reconditioned driveshaft, it has been lowered to give it cleaner lines, rear brake compensator rebuilt and brakes completely replaced (discs, pads etc), heater completely stripped and reconditioned so works perfectly, new balljoints, new complete exhaust system, new tyres, reconditioned distributor, new wheel bearings, water heater hoses, alternator, engine & gearbox mountings and a respray with original colour from factory.
