Our old 71 went to the scrap yard today. Kind of sad in a way. We originally bought the car in 2012 just for the early bumpers and were going to put them on our then 78. Well while we were working on the 78 we decided what the heck lets just drive this one while we work on the other one. The trouble was this car was more than a bit rusty in the unibody sills when we started driving it. New interior, new top, valve job and a dual carbs along with some cd3s and new tire and it was a blast to drive. Last year or two the rust really started expanding to every corner of the car. A pillars, fenders, floors you name it. I stripped everything worth saving except perhaps the windshield and transmission. Reported by seabeelt at fiatspider.com in 08/2021.
