48 950 km. first registered on the 12th June 1974, was taken over by the second owner in 1979. In the course of a coachwork restoration in 1995 he decided to change the paint from the original light blue with a black engine bonnet and black boot to the current and also as-per-original colour combination of red and black. In around 2000 the original engine with its #132AC40000169814 was replaced with a 2-litre Fiat 131 Miafiori unit. The original engine is available and may be picked up by the new owner at the Oldtimer Galerie in Toffen. Documentation from 1995 is testament to the thorough maintenance the Spider has enjoyed. In 2016 a defective speedo, then showing 98652 kilometres, was replaced by a used speedo, then showing 42989 kilometres. The currently indicated around 49000 kilometres show that the Fiat has covered a mere 6000 kilometres in the last 6 1/2 years. In February 2022 the carburetors were completely overhauled and adjusted. After the sudden demise of the second owner at the end of 2022, the Fiat was dry-stored. The pretty Abarth has been with the same owner for 43 years and is in good, well maintained condition with age-correct signs of use. The last Veteran MOT was completed in September 2018.
